The UCLA Bruins football program has worked wonders on the recruiting front ever since DeShaun Foster came to town as the head coach.
They have landed plenty of talented players in just a matter of months. However, they lost one to the Oregon Ducks, as Class of 2025 OL Demetri Manning chose Oregon over UCLA, Washington, and Miami, per Hayes Fawcett of On3.
“BREAKING: Class of 2025 IOL Demetri Manning has Committed to Oregon, he tells me for @on3recruits. The 6’7 345 IOL from Bellevue, WA chose the Ducks over UCLA, Washington, & Miami”
Manning said this after his commitment: “It’s always been my dream since I was younger. When you stick to the process, you will live your dreams. Let’s Go Ducks.”

Miles Dwyer of Ducks Wire laid out a path to him paying dividends right away:
After 2024, there will be heavy roster turnover along the Oregon offensive line, with Ajani Cornelius, Josh Conerly, Marcus Harper, and Matthew Bedford all likely moving on after this season. With those four on the way out, young linemen like Manning and Addison have the chance to be high-impact players for the Ducks.
It’s a tough loss for UCLA.
