UCLA offers scholarship to four-star linebacker

Foster’s staff keeps giving out offers.

The Bruins took a big swing at a highly-rated linebacker this weekend.

Outside linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale from Bethel, Washington, is a four-star recruit. The consensus 247 Sports #1 prospect from the Evergreen State received a scholarship offer from the Bruins. Receiving offers from several NCAA powerhouses, including Alabama, Oregon, Washington, Miami, Penn State, and Florida State, Rainey-Sale is a hot commodity in the recruiting market.

Though the Bruins have their work cut out for them in their pursuit of Rainey-Sale, their track record of pumping out pass rushers and defensive standouts is impressive.

With Laiatu Latu, the Murphy Twins, and Darius Muasau all expected to be drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Bruins have a knack for producing NFL-caliber defensive players.

In the newly formed BIG 10 “super conference,” UCLA can leverage both the BIG 10 and the NFL products they produce in their pitch to Rainey-Sale.

If those are enough to sway him, the Bruins could secure themselves a top recruit at his position and a potential future Bruin in the NFL.
