The hits keep on coming for the UCLA Bruins men’s basketball team. After landing both Skyy Clark and Kobe Johnson in huge portal additions, the Bruins have now lost freshman guard Jan Vide, per Jamie Shaw of On3.
The freshman from Slovenia had a minimal role in his first year of college basketball. He played in 22 games but averaged just over six minutes per.
Mick Cronin spoke highly of Vide at the end of the season despite his limited role, per Joseph Crosby of The Daily Bruin:
“He’s been a great kid all year, listening, trying every day. He’s a great example of what you want as a coach. You ask kids, ‘Hey, whether you play or not, come in and work your ass off and have a great attitude.’ Very few do that – he does. I was just rewarding him.”
Vide was from Slovenia and should be an interesting player to watch in the portal.
