The UCLA Bruins basketball program is wasting no time trying to bring in talent in the transfer portal.
Perhaps one of the biggest scorers in the portal is UC San Diego guard Bryce Pope, who entered the portal after averaging 18.3 PPG and being named First-Team All-Big West.
UCLA is one of many teams to show interest in Pope in the portal, per Jeff Goodman. Here are some of the 21 suitors Goodman mentioned:
- USC
- Texas
- Creighton
- Louisville
- LSU
- Colorado
- Notre Dame
- Utah
- Stanford
There are plenty more suitors for Pope. He is a grad transfer who will provide a season of huge minutes for any of these programs.

Pope was ranked No. 86 in The Athletic’s transfer portal rankings courtesy of Sam Vecenie and CJ Moore.
The Tritons finished with a 21-11 record but fell short of a trip to the NCAA Tournament as Long Beach State engineered a magical run to earn the automatic bid for the Big West.
