UCLA head coach DeShaun Foster at local high school football game Friday

UCLA Bruins head coach DeShaun Foster was in attendance Friday night for the big game between Mater Dei and Bishop Gorman.

With a week off from game action, UCLA Bruins head football coach DeShaun Foster was doing a little recruiting on Friday night. Coach Foster was spotted at the local high school football showdown between Mater Dei and Bishop Gorman.

The game was full of local stars, featuring Oregon commit Nasir Wyatt, LSU receiver Derek Meadows, Ohio State commit Chris Henry Jr, and defensive tackle James Carrington.

The first touchdown of the game came from Oregon commit Jordon Davison. Henry Jr. also scored an early touchdown to give Mater Dei an early 14-point lead in the game.  It came from Washington commit, quarterback Dash Bierley. Mater Dei went up 21-7 in the third quarter with yet another Davison touchdown. He finished the game with 90 yards on 19 carries, and those two touchdowns. Mater Dei won the game 31-15.

Foster and the Bruins will host the Indiana Hoosiers on September 14th. That will be their first-ever Big Ten Conference game. Indiana comes into the game with a 2-0 record. The Hoosiers are coming off a 77-3 win over Western Illinois on Friday.
