The UCLA Bruins gymnastics program lost Selena Harris in a bit of a surprising move lately. Now, they have seen Alex Irvine find a new home.
Irvine entered the transfer portal and announced her decision to join the Auburn Tigers, as she mentioned on her Instagram page:
“found what i was looking for 🧡💙…pretty grateful i get to join this team and compete as an athlete in the SEC. It’s been a dream for as long as i can remember 🫶🏼…thank you Auburn coaches for a great visit and my family for trusting me to make big decisions like this. huge thank you to God for leading me through life, i’d like to show the world more of You and less of me🤍 lastly, thank you to everyone else who has been supporting me through my time at UCLA, and now Auburn. you all mean the absolute most.”
Irvine spent just one year in Westwood but was expected to be on the rise for the Bruins, so this is a big loss for the program.
She competed in the floor, uneven, and vault this season for UCLA.
