The UCLA Bruins football program is undergoing a series of changes. Chip Kelly is out and DeShaun Foster is in. On top of that, the Bruins are joining the Big Ten Conference in 2024 and have a few difficult games on the schedule.
But, the vibes are different in Westwood with Foster changing things drastically.
Paul Myerberg of USA Today re-ranked all of the FBS college football teams after Spring practice and UCLA dropped in at 65th on the list.
There are a pair of Big Ten teams in the top five with Ohio State at No. 2 and Oregon at No. 4. Michigan, USC, Iowa, and Nebraska are also in the top 25 in the latest re-rank.
If UCLA can string together a .500 season in Foster’s first year as head coach and the Bruins’ first in the Big Ten, that could be labeled a success. Only time will tell, but there are encouraging signs.
