UCLA Bruins women’s soccer dominate in Sunday win

The soccer team got a win.

The UCLA Bruins women’s soccer team moved to 2-0 on Sunday with a 3-0 win over UC Riverside. It was the first game of the season at Wallis Annenberg Stadium, and the Bruins dominated from start to finish.

UCLA held UC Riverside to just one shot in the game. Bridgette Martin-Valencia started the offensive party in the 14th minute with her second goal of the season.

Next, it was Bella Winn with the second goal of the game.  Winn also recorded an assist in the game. The final goal came from freshman Nicki Fraser. UCLA finished with 26 shots on goal. It was the second straight shut-out for Ryan Campbell.

Next up for the UCLA Bruins women’s soccer team is a trip to Cal Poly. The Bruins will go on the road on Thursday for a 7pm start. On Sunday, the Bruins are back home to host Santa Clara in a 2pm start.
