UCLA Bruins officially members of the Big Ten

Welcome UCLA to the Big Ten.

Friday was the big day—the big moment. The big announcement finally played out. As of Friday morning, the UCLA Bruins are officially members of the Big Ten conference.

The countdown was on, and the clock finally struck zero. The UCLA Bruins, USC, Oregon, and Washington will join the conference. The conference will now span from Seattle Washington to New York City, New York.

Despite being around since 1915, and being the champion conference, the Pac-12 is no longer part of the playing field. Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, and Colorado joined the Big 12 as well.

The UCLA Bruins will start their Big 10 play in football on August 31st as they take on Hawaii.

The first conference game for the Bruins will be on September 14th, as they take on the Indiana Hoosiers. The conference announced that Indianapolis would host both the men’s basketball and football conference title games. Future events could be held in Las Vegas in coming years.
