UCLA Bruins get committment from 3-star Illinois QB

DeShaun Foster and the UCLA Bruins Football staff received a commitment from a 2025 quarterback over the weekend. Colton Gumino, a 6’2, 190-pound signal caller from Arlington Heights Illinois has committed to the Bruins.

Gumino visited on June 21st and committed on the 28th to be the second quarterback for the class.

Gumino had many teams interested in his services, including Michigan, Notre Dame, Purdue, Ohio State, and Tennessee.

In 2023, Gumino threw the football 178 times, completing 118. He was able to throw for over 2,100 yards and 27 touchdowns on the season. Gumino threw four interceptions on the season. With his legs, he rushed just 18 times for 51 yards but was able to score five touchdowns.

The Bruins now have 14 hard commits for the 2025 class. Madden Iamaleava from Downey California is the other quarterback in the class. He committed back in May of 2024. He is a four-star recruit, along with safety Jadyn Hudson of Pittsburg California.
