UCLA at Oregon odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s UCLA at Oregon odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The No. 10 UCLA Bruins (6-0, 3-0 Pac-12) and the No. 9 Oregon Ducks (5-1, 3-0) play Saturday at Autzen Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the UCLA vs. Oregon odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

The Bruins have scored massive wins over then-No.11 Utah (42-32) and then-No.18 Washington (40-32) across the last 2 weeks to shut down the haters. The Bruins offense has been on point, going for 40 or more points in 5 of 6 games overall, rolling up 505.7 total yards per game to rank 12th in the country.

The Ducks opened with an ugly 49-3 loss in a neutral-site game against then-No. 3 Georgia. However, Oregon has rebounded rather nicely with 5 straight wins while going 4-1 ATS with 41 or more points in each contest.

While this is a hugely important game for both sides, Oregon has that ugly opener loss, and cannot afford another setback. A trip to the CFP is already a rather tall order because of that bad loss.

UCLA at Oregon picks and predictions

Prediction

UCLA 45, Oregon 42

Moneyline

UCLA (+180) is worth playing on the moneyline for a chance to nearly double your wager. The Bruins have really been playing good football, and the wins over Utah and Washington erased any doubt that the big numbers were due to a soft schedule.

It could go either way but that 49-3 rout against Georgia in a marquee game is hard to forget. UCLA has no such reasons for doubt.

Against the spread

UCLA +6.5 (-108) is worth playing lightly in what should be a close game between these Pac-12 titans. I’d feel much better about the Bruins at a flat 7 or 7 and a hook, but as it stands, take the points.

Oregon allows 275.3 passing yards per game through the air, while UCLA is a little better defensively. That should be the difference here.

Over/Under

OVER 70.5 (-110) is the play despite what appears to be a rather huge number.

UCLA is putting up 41.5 PPG and yielding 22.7 PPG. Oregon is racking up 42.0 PPG while coughing up 28.8 PPG. This is going to be one of those epic Pac-12 games which resemble a video game, and if you love offense you’ll certainly want to tune in. But, if you love Over bets, you’ll also want in on this. As long as we get early touchdowns and not field goals we should get across the finish line rather easily despite the big total.
