UCLA ahead of Northwestern in Badgers Wire Big Ten rankings

UCLA toward the bottom, again.

The UCLA Bruins aren’t expected to win very many games in 2024. DeShaun Foster is in his first year as head coach, and they made the move to the talented Big Ten Conference.

On the other hand, barely beating Hawaii in Week 1 was not what fans had hoped for. Ben Kenney of Badgers Wire updated his Big Ten power rankings after Week 2 came to an end, and UCLA was at No. 17, just ahead of Northwestern.

Week 2 Result: BYE

Previous Rank: No. 15 (Down 2)

Analysis: UCLA was off this week. But much of the conference’s bottom tier performed well, pushing the Bruins further toward the bottom. Look out next week when Indiana comes to town.

If UCLA loses the Big Ten debut against Indiana, expect them to be at the bottom in just about every power ranking across the board. If they win, maybe they climb one spot or two, at most.
