Ubisoft reveals Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s first DLC roadmap of 2022

More Viking adventure’s to come soon.

More than a year after Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s release, and there’s still plenty of meaty DLC updates coming soon.

On Friday, the official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account shared the first DLC roadmap of 2020 for Valhalla. Some of this we already knew about, but there are concrete dates for everything finally.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 2022 DLC roadmap

  • Title Update 1.5.0 on Feb. 22
  • A free weekend from Feb. 24 through Feb. 28
  • Dawn of Ragnarök expansion on March 10

Ubisoft didn’t provide much in the way of details on what Title Update 1.5.0 will contain. Many fans are speculating the patch will simple iron out small glitches and tweak game balance.

The free weekend is pretty self-explanatory. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be free to play for four days, regardless of whatever platform you’re playing. Checking out one of the best historical games out there for the grand total of zero dollars is a pretty good deal.

Finally, the Dawn of Ragnarök expansion is coming out in early March. Apparently, this DLC will clock in at around 35 hours, making it one of the more ambitious Assassin’s Creed titles ever.

It’s a bit strange that Ubisoft refers to this as the “first” roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in 2022. According to Axios, the game passed the $1 billion in revenue mark. So perhaps the company doesn’t want to kill its golden goose yet.
