The Philadelphia 76ers made a flurry of deals on Thursday afternoon before the 3 p.m. EST deadline as they look to set themselves up for the 2024 playoffs when Joel Embiid returns as well as any big moves in the future.
One move the Sixers did make was send Patrick Beverley to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Cam Payne and a second-round pick. Philadelphia gets a reliable ball-handler and 3-point shooter in Payne as well as another draft pick as the Sixers look toward the future.
Beverley was a bit of a fan favorite in Philadelphia due to his hard-nosed style and his boisterous personality that fit the City of Brotherly Love. After his trade to Milwaukee, Tyrese Maxey gave his reaction to losing Pat Bev.

Obviously, Maxey and Beverley had a strong relationship while the veteran was in Philadelphia. The Sixers will now look to move on and welcome their new additions to the floor as they all move forward.
