MINNEAPOLIS, MINN–The Philadelphia 76ers got back to work on Thursday as they prepare for play after the All-Star break. They will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday and they will welcome James Harden to their lineup.
Harden will impact everything the Sixers want to do so it is important that they get some practice time in. However, there was one important piece of the Sixers missing and he is somebody who will be impacted greatly by the addition of Harden.
Tyrese Maxey was not at the team’s practice at the University of Minnesota on Thursday. It is an excused absence as he had some issues traveling to Minnesota from his home state of Texas. One can assume that it is due to the weather issues causing some flights to be canceled or delayed.

Whether Maxey rejoins the Sixers in time for their matchup with the Timberwolves on Friday remains to be seen, but either way, it will be important for him to get some practice time with Harden before games.
