There seems to be a new trend developing with the Philadelphia 76ers after home games. After veteran Dwight Howard was out shooting with Ben Simmons after their season-opening win over the Washington Wizards, Howard was at it again on Tuesday after their win over the Toronto Raptors.
Howard was out with the team’s rookies Tyrese Maxey and Isaiah Joe after the game to put up some more shots. Maxey has yet to knock down a triple this season after he had a few near misses in the win while Joe has yet to really make his mark on the team just yet.
It is important for a guy like Howard to pull the rookies aside and work with them. This is another example of his value as a respected veteran on this team.

Howard is a guy who continues to be a leader with this group and this is going to be important going forward. The Sixers need a leader they can lean on when times get tough and that is what Howard is there for.
