Tyreek Hill: “I got death threats” after praising Tua Tagovailoa

New Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill stated on his podcast that he received death threats after praising Tua Tagovailoa.

On the latest episode of his podcast “It Needed To Be Said,” new Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill stated that he received death threats after stating that Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was a more accurate passer than Patrick Mahomes.

“On every social media account I own, I got death threats on,” declared Hill on the episode, which was released on Tuesday. “I just feel like a lot of people overreacted for no reason. They really didn’t see what I said. A lot of people are just acting off emotion.”

Hill has been quick to praise his new quarterback since being traded to Miami. Earlier this off-season, the Dolphins’ social media account received some criticism when sharing footage of Tagovailoa targeting Hill on a deep throw downfield. That prompted Hill to share a video of his own, backing up Tagovailoa.

Mahomes was asked recently about Hill’s comments, and shared that he believed his former teammate was trying to get his podcast up and running, stating that the comments likely “had somethin to do with trying to get his podcast some stuff and get it rolling.”
