#TexasTech has announced #Oregon transfer Tyler Shough as its starting QB. No surprise there.
Matt Wells: "Tyler gives this team the best chance to win. He is well-respected by his teammates, a tireless worker and has developed a strong understanding of what we want to do."

It looks like the transfer away from the Oregon Ducks was the right decision in the long run for Tyler Shough, who has been announced as the Texas Tech new starting quarterback.
After playing in 7 games for the Ducks in 2020, Shough arguably lost the starting job after being asked to split series with now Oregon QB Anthony Brown. It was apparent that Brown brought a bit more to the table, which led to Shough transferring away from the Ducks this offseason and looking to compete for the starting job in Texas Tech.
In his seven games with the Ducks in 2020, Shough threw for 13 touchdowns and 6 interceptions, amassing a total of 1,559 yards through the air. He will now be heading up an offense coached by offensive coordinator David Yost, who was the quarterback’s coach at Oregon when Shough came into the program.
