Jimmy Butler recorded 35 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists and five steals and Duncan Robinson had 26 points to lead the Miami Heat to a 111-108 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Friday.

Butler did the majority of his work in the first half, recording 22 points through the first two periods, but scored eight points in the fourth quarter to hold off the Lakers. He went toe-to-toe with LeBron James, who finished with 40 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists, to hold off the Lakers.

Heat rookie Tyler Herro scored 12 points but perhaps no points were bigger than the two made free throws with 1.6 seconds left that clinched the victory. Following a defensive stop by the Heat in the closing seconds, Herro was fouled but made both free throws to close out the game.

Herro on Friday set the NBA record by a rookie for the most consecutive games in the playoffs scoring in double digits after scoring his 10th point in the game. With Herro in the picture, the Heat have brought the series deficit to the Lakers to 3-2 with Game 6 looming on Sunday.
