Duncan Robinson scored a team-high 18 points, Tyler Herro added 15 points and the Miami Heat kicked off their three-game scrimmage slate on Wednesday with a 104-98 victory over the Sacramento Kings.
Herro added six rebounds and finished by shooting 5-of-14 from the field in 26 minutes of work off of the bench. The game served as an opportunity for the Heat to integrate Herro back into the lineup after the rookie missed time before the season shut down due to an ankle injury.
Despite scoring 15 points, Herro showed some rust in the game after missing all seven of his 3-point attempts. He also committed a team-high four turnovers but the result was likely expected after such a long layover.

The goal of the scrimmage games is to give players the opportunity to prepare for the season restart and play competitively against other teams. Teams are not putting too much importance into the games and are just using them as tune-ups before the seeding games begin on July 30.
The Heat play their second scrimmage game on Saturday vs. the Utah Jazz.
