Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro said that he plans to play Thursday night on the road against the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel.
Herro did not play Tuesday night against the Detroit Pistons after suffering a sprained left ankle. He was officially listed as questionable to play on Thursday, though he intends to play.
The details of the injury are not yet known and it is unclear when Herro initially suffered the sprained ankle. Herro last played Friday night on the road against the Los Angeles Lakers when he recorded seven points in a 95-80 loss.
Without Herro, the Heat picked up a 117-108 win over the Pistons as Jimmy Butler and rookie Kendrick Nunn each scored a team-high 20 points apiece at home.
