When LeBron James made the infamous decision to take his talents to South Beach, he also infamously made it a goal to win numerous championships for the Miami Heat.
James, along with stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, won two titles for Miami in 2012 and 2013; they also reached the Finals in 2011 but couldn’t defeat Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks.
James won the Finals MVP for both titles. In the 2012 Finals, he averaged 28.6 points, 10.2 rebounds and 7.4 assists in 5 games. In 2013, James put up 25.3 points, 10.9 rebounds and 7.0 assists in 7 games against the San Antonio Spurs.
With James’ stature and great performances in those crucial moments, he established himself as one of the best players to don the Heat uniform. Current Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro regards James as the best Heat player of all time, via Brendan Tobin:
Tyler Herro asked who is the best Heat player of all time: LeBron James…growing up for me LeBron was my favorite player on the Heat. pic.twitter.com/Q4kQcGHDkX

“Best Heat player? I have to say…LeBron James. You can’t go wrong with D-Wade, Bron, either or, but I feel like growing up for me, LeBron was my favorite player on the Heat.”
Wade brought Miami its first title in franchise history in 2006 after having a tremendous playoff run, so it’s also definitely reasonable to deem Wade as the best.
Other notable players besides James and Wade that have played for the Heat include Alonzo Mourning, Shaquille O’Neal, Tim Hardaway and Bosh.
