Two Vols earn PING all-region honors

Caleb Surratt and Bryce Lewis named all-region by PING.

Tennessee men’s golfers Bryce Lewis and Caleb Surratt earned PING All-Southeast Region honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Both players were previously named to the All-SEC team by the league coaches earlier this month.

Surratt was a first-team all-conference selection and was named SEC Freshman of the Year, while Lewis earned second-team all-conference honors.

Lewis and Surratt received all-region honors, marking the fourth consecutive year Tennessee players were honored by PING.

During his first season at Tennessee, Surratt led the Vols in stroke average of 69.58 over 33 rounds. He also shot par or better 27 times.

Lewis, a second-team All-SEC standout for the second straight season, won the Purdue Fall Invitational in October and finished second at the Mason Rudolph Championship in April.
