Two VFLs receive NFL All-Pro honors

Morgan Cox and Alvin Kamara named All-Pro.

A pair of former University of Tennessee football players were named All-Pro by the NFL.

Baltimore’s Morgan Cox was named to the first team, while New Orleans running back Alvin Kamara received second-team honors

Cox was named First-Team All-Pro for the first time in his career, which began in 2010 when he signed out of Tennessee as an undrafted free agent.

Cox, a 4-time Pro Bowler, has seen both the bitter and the sweet sides of life in the NFL. Just weeks after being named All-Pro, he was informed by the Ravens that he would not return to the team for a 12th season in 2021.

Kamara, who scored six rushing touchdowns in a Christmas Day game against the Minnesota Vikings, was named Second-Team All-Pro for the second time in his stellar career. His six touchdowns tied a single-game record, shared with Ernie Nevers.

He was also named NFL Rookie of the Year, Sporting News Rookie of the Year and NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2017.

Kamara is the first NFL running back to have 500 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in each of his first four seasons.

Cox and Kamara both made the Pro Bowl in 2020.
