Two Tigers land on PFF’s 2024 first-round mock draft

It’s never too early to start making mocks for the 2024 NFL draft.

It’s never too early to start making mock drafts for the 2024 NFL draft. We are just one game into the 2023 season, and Pro Football Focus has already released who it thinks will go in the first round.

Two LSU Tigers made the list. Wide receiver [autotag]Malik Nabers[/autotag] and defensive lineman [autotag]Maason Smith[/autotag] made the cut as first-round projections. PFF has Nabers going to the New England Patriots with the 12th pick of the draft. That would pair him up with former teammate [autotag]Kayshon Boutte[/autotag] in the NFL. Nabers would be a great weapon for Mac Jones to throw to whether he winds up as a slot receiver or if he is their top man.

PFF has Smith falling to the Philadelphia Eagles with the 31st pick of the draft. Smith did not get to play in LSU’s first game against the Florida State Seminoles. He will get his first action of the season this weekend against Grambling State.

What a place to land for Smith. That would make two years in a row that the Eagles were able to swipe a very talented SEC defensive lineman in the first round of the draft.
