Two Nittany Lions make NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah’s big board

NFL Network draft analysts Daniel Jeremiah has two Penn State players in his top 50 big board for the 2022 NFL draft.

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah just released his third version of his top fifty big board and he has two Penn State players in his rankings. This NFL Draft cycle has seen Penn State have three players of its own be in the news cycle but with one missing it leaves two, for now, to be discussed.

Obviously included in the list was the star of this draft season for the Nittany Lions in [autotag]Jahan Dotson[/autotag]. Dotson was ranked 25th by Jeremiah and was his sixth-ranked wide receiver on the board. Not a knock on Dotson but rather hammering home the point of how good this receiver class is for someone like Dotson to be outside the top five. Not many people have him outside the top five but nevertheless, people do, Jeremiah though does have some glowing comments about Jahan Dotson.

He is a very fluid, loose route runner with the ability to accelerate in and out of breaks. He tracks the ball beautifully down the field and has another gear if needed. He attacks the ball and makes some outstanding catches away from his frame. After the catch, Dotson has the speed to pull away and makes defenders miss tackles with his elusiveness…

Also mentioned in his big board was edge rusher [autotag]Arnold Ebiketie[/autotag] who went up six spots from his previous big board rankings. Coming in at 36 on his big board, Ebiketie is ranked as the seventh-ranked edge in this class. Edge is one of the deeper position groups in this draft class so like Dotson being fifth, this is not a slight on Ebiketie. In fact, when you read what Jeremiah has to say about him you realize he likes a lot of his game:

Long, twitched-up edge rusher with a nonstop motor. He has an explosive get-off and routinely rocks offensive tackles with the power in his hands. He charges upfield before powering through the outside shoulder. He also has a violent swipe move and will occasionally cross the face of the tackle with a nifty inside counter move.

Both Dotson and Ebiketie are projected to be starters on day one with whatever team ends up with them. Dotson could’ve come out for the draft last year but chose to stay for one more year and that has paid off beautifully. In the case of Ebiketie, he took advantage of the departure of previous pass rushers, mainly [autotag]Odafe Oweh[/autotag], and used this past season and now the draft process.

With less than four weeks until the draft, it will be interesting to see how much higher these guys climb up boards.
