The Atlanta Falcons will have representation at this year’s East-West Shrine Bowl as two assistants will serve as position coaches.

Falcons defensive assistant Lanier Goethie will serve as defensive line coach for the East team, while Nick Perry will coach the defensive backs for the West team.

The East-West Shrine Bowl, which is essentially a college football all-star game, takes place on February 3 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“For more than 90 years, some of football’s greatest athletes and coaches have contributed to the tradition of the East-West Shrine Bowl. Players like Gale Sayers, Tom Brady, John Elway, Allan Page, Dick Butkus, Brett Favre, Gino Marchetti and Walter Payton, along with coaches Don Shula, Dick Vermeil, Paul “Bear” Bryant and Jerry Glanville, to name a few, have supported the East-West Shrine Bowl.”
