Smith, Bohrofen Earn ABCA/Rawlings All-Region honors

Hagen Smith and Jace Bohrofen received All-Region honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings.

Smith is on the South All-Region first team, and Bohrofen is on the second team.

Smith completed his sophomore season as the 32nd All-American in the program’s history. The southpaw took the mound 18 times with 11 starts, boasting an impressive 8-2 record with a 3.64 ERA, 102 strikeouts, and two saves over more than 71 innings.

Smith is the first Razorback starting pitcher to receive first-team All-Region recognition from the ABCA/Rawlings since Isaiah Campbell in 2019. Kevin Kopps earned first-team All-Region recognition in 2021 as a relief pitcher.

During SEC play, Smith was versatile, assuming various roles in 11 appearances with five starts, resulting in a 5-1 record with a 3.07 ERA and 65 strikeouts over 44 innings while limiting opposing batters to a .201 batting average.

For earning First Team All-Region honors, Smith is eligible for the ABCA/Rawlings All-America team, which will be announced on June 16 before the start of the College World Series. He has already earned All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball

Bohrofen played a crucial role in the Razorback offense, with an impressive .318/.436/.612 slash line, 16 home runs, and 52 runs batted in across 60 games. He led the team in various offensive categories, including batting average (.318), runs scored (54), hits (68), doubles (15), home runs (16), and total bases (131).

Bohrofen performed exceptionally well in the SEC with a .288/.394/.541 slash line, seven home runs, and 20 RBI over 30 games. He is the first Razorback outfielder to receive All-Region recognition from the ABCA/Rawlings since Heston Kjerstad in 2019.
