Head coach Deion Sanders and his Colorado football staff have opened up a pipeline to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, landing two prospects from high school powerhouse in the 2024 and 2025 recruiting cycles. We’ll wait and see what the 2025 signees can do, but the pair from the 2024 cycle look like gems.
In fact, Colorado center Cash Cleveland and left tackle Jordan Seaton were named to On3’s True Freshman All-American team on Friday.
Seaton came to CU with great fanfare as a five-star signee who committed to the Buffs on Fox Sports 1’s “Undisputed.” Here’s a snippet of what On3’s Thomas Goldkamp wrote on Seaton’s first year in Boulder:
Jordan Seaton has been the top true freshman offensive lineman throughout the season. The former five-star-plus prospect manned the left tackle spot for Colorado, playing over 800 snaps and performed very well, particularly in pass protection.
Cleveland’s recruiting process differed significantly, as he joined the program as a preferred walk-on. He was granted an opportunity to join CU’s starting unit late in the season, becoming the first walk-on freshman offensive lineman to start a game in program history.
Here’s some of what Goldkamp wrote about Cleveland:
Based on how he’s played to this point in the season, Cleveland looks to be a lock starter at center for the Buffaloes next season, giving Deion Sanders a steady, proven center who has played at a high level in the Big 12.
