Two Alabama basketball players listed as Preseason All-SEC selections

On Wednesday, Alabama’s Jahvon Quinerly and Brandon Miller were listed as Preseason All-SEC selections.

Alabama has seen a fair amount of success within the basketball programs since Nate Oats became the team’s head coach in 2019. Not only has there been just success, but there has also been a lot of talent over the years.

On Wednesday, two current Alabama basketball players, Jahvon Quinerly and Brandon Miller, were named to the Preseason All-SEC Second Team. Both are expected to have key roles on the basketball team this season.

Miller was a McDonald’s All-American last season out of Cane Ridge High School in Antioch, Tennessee. The versatile forward has a similar frame to former Alabama fan-favorite Herb Jones. His skill set will likely be used in similar ways to Jones’s. However, he does bring a scoring prowess as well, so he has a lot of high expectations as he enters his freshman season.

As for Quinerly, this will not be his first season in an Alabama uniform. He has played in two seasons with the Crimson Tide and has cemented himself as one of the best scorers in the league. He attacks the glass and uses his finesse to create open-shot opportunities for his teammates.

Unfortunately, Alabama will be without Quinerly for non-conference play, At the end of last season, Quinerly suffered a torn ACL. As a result, his return is set for late December with hopes to have him back by the time conference play begins.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Alabama basketball news.
