Ah, the fine print. Whether it’s part of some deal or discount you’re trying to get, or if it’s the instructions for something, it gets you.
That was sort of the case with a tweet sent out by Penn State football on Thursday evening, in which the program claimed in VERY LARGE LETTERS that “A Penn Stater has appeared in EVERY Super Bowl … ”
… and then there was teeny print that included a caveat: “Except for five since 1967.”
You can imagine what happened next: there were a lot of jokes made out of it, and it became a meme of sorts. Here’s the tweet:
