Counter right hook to left hand for Shevchenko as Chookagian steps in. And a low kick. #UFC247

Kaitlyn's leg is already red

The way Shevchenko is moving I’d think the video had been sped up. Except, you know, it’s live.

Maybe I'm tempting the gods saying this, but I'm failing to see any path to victory for Chook in this one.
— caposa (@Grabaka_Hitman) February 9, 2020
10-9 Valentina, and she's opened a cut near the corner of Chookagian's left eye. Some good lows kicks mixed in there as well.
— Brett Okamoto (@bokamotoESPN) February 9, 2020
Woof. Shevchenko carved her head open with one elbow. #UFC247
— Andreas Hale (@AndreasHale) February 9, 2020
The worst case scenario for Chookagian is if she's tough enough to stay in it, but takes an accumulated beating round over round en route to a clear loss.
We're obviously not there yet, but it's something to monitor.

It's crazy how much power Valentina Shevchenko can generate with the smallest movements. She's like a slingshot out there, ready to blast at any time. #UFC247

On a side not Kaitlyn's eye lashes are looking great tonight
— Randa Markos (@randamma) February 9, 2020
Shevs breaking out axe kicks and shit. No bueno
— caposa (@Grabaka_Hitman) February 9, 2020
Valentina Shevchenko being able to block a low kick while throwing a nastier one is really some other shit.
— Jordan Breen (@jordanbreen) February 9, 2020
20-18 Shevchenko.
Valentina is just perfect everywhere in this fight.
That wheel kick!#UFC247— dan shapiro (@dannyshap) February 9, 2020
Dominant victory for Valentina Shevchenko, stops Katlyn Chookagian in round three after a trip takedown to the crucifix position and finishes her with strikes
— John Pollock (@iamjohnpollock) February 9, 2020
That is it, Valentina gets into the crucifix and pounds Chookagian out. Wow, what an impressive performance (Again)

Schecheko finishes it with the Matt Hughes special: strikes from crucifix. #ufc247 pic.twitter.com/2O6U9n6J9E

Valentina Shevchenko stops Katlyn Chookagian in the third, dominates everywhere. Shevchenko is too skilled. I don't see her losing at 125 pounds anytime soon. #UFC247

Valentina Shevchenko earns just the eighth KO/TKO in UFC history from the crucifix position. The others were earned by Gary Goodridge, Matt Hughes, Dong Hyun Kim, Paul Kelly, Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier, and Tyson Pedro. #UFC247
