It was an up-and-down season for the Rams after two years of mostly ups. They finished the season on Sunday with a 31-24 win over the Cardinals, their sixth straight win over Arizona. With the victory, Los Angeles topped the .500 mark at 9-7, which was a goal of Sean McVay’s.
As disappointing of a season as it was for the Rams, it was also entertaining and filled with twists and turns. Ending on a high note was a good way to go into the offseason, even without a postseason appearance.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Sunday’s season finale.
Look at the final standings.. The Rams finished one game out of the playoffs.
Now thinking about losing last week in SF, to Mason Rudolph in PIT coming off the bye, and in Seattle.. All one score games.
Yeah, this season stunk. pic.twitter.com/agEzg2YV3D

Goodbye @lacoliseum! Thanks for 4 years of Rams Football. Next season marks the beginning of @SoFiStadium and @RamsNFL football. Let’s regroup and come back strong. Great game today and big win. Way to finish strong. Final Record: 9-7 #LARams pic.twitter.com/rNLuOwm99r

🔹Awesome bounce-back by Taylor Rapp (fumble recovery, INT).
🔹You can never have too many corners, and this organization has some great options in Ramsey/Hill/NRC/Williams/Long.
🔹Can't tell me McVay/Goff didn't want Woods to get a TD tonight. He earned it in 2019. Very fitting.— J.B. Long (@JB_Long) December 30, 2019
Jared’s finishing the season:
394/626 (63% completion)4638 yds, 22 TDs, 16 INTSYeah a “down year” in a lot of people’s eyes but still behind multiple o-line combinations and an inconsistent run game he had a hell of a season.
Time to improve and move on to Stan’s new house.

Sooo, where are the OL at? *Suge Knight voice*: Come to L.A.!

Dante Fowler, Robert Woods, and Cory Littleton, all could have just played their last game with the #LARams and stopped to sign autographs for fans at the Coliseum.

End of an era but way to end it. No winter for us but interesting offseason on the way. 🤘🏻 Thank you #LARams https://t.co/SoRp4Neg1P

A 9-7 season after a Super Bowl run!
Our standards have changed after living in the NFL's basement for more than a decade. I certainly hope that nobody thinks that this year was acceptable as a fan of this team.
The quest for greatness in 2020 begins right now. pic.twitter.com/KIJK6zOO4v

Could this be Wade Phillips final game as the #LARams DC? pic.twitter.com/YvixLZTs2G

Reminder: 95% of #LARams fans took the over on the Rams’ 10.5 win total over/under.
No way to frame this but a disappointing season, and a failure overall.

I guess at least we went 9-7. But what an incredibly disappointing season. Offseason should be a fun one.

FINAL Rams 31, Cards 24. LA finishes 9-7. No playoffs next month and big changes ahead, but that's 3 straight winning records for the Rams for the first time since 1999-2001. Hello, Inglewood.

They threw a short pass instead. #Rams are going to win this, 31-24, and will finish at 9-7, the third straight winning season to begin the Sean McVay era.
