Penn State and NFL Twitter react to Miles Sanders’ big game after Eagles top Saquon’s Giants

Before there was Nick Singleton and [autotag]Kaytron Allen[/autotag] doing damage on the ground for the Penn State running game, there was [autotag]Saquon Barkley[/autotag] and [autotag]Miles Sanders[/autotag]. And while Barkley took the leading role and Sanders waited his time before becoming the featured back for the Nittany Lions, Penn State fans love seeing the two former running backs go head-to-head on the NFL Sundays.

Such was the case on Sunday afternoon in the Meadowlands with Barkley and the New York Giants hosting Sanders and the NFC-leading Philadelphia Eagles. And on this particular day, Sanders easily had the better performance to be smiling about afterward. Not only did Sanders and the Eagles improve to 12-1 this season with a 48-22 victory, but Sanders had a monster performance with 144 rushing yards (155 all-purpose yards) and a pair of touchdowns. Barkley carried the football just nine times for 28 yards (48 all-purpose yards) against the feisty Eagles defense.

The performance by Sanders had plenty of folks on Twitter reacting positively about his continued contributions to the success of the Eagles this season, largely as a major complement to the MVP-caliber season being turned in by quarterback Jalen Hurts. Some may have even gone so far as to suggest the Eagles actually have the better running back than the Giants.

Here’s a sampling of how Twitter was reacting to the big outing by Sanders.
