The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a chance to take a 10-point lead over the Detroit Lions in the fourth quarter of today’s game, but a missed 54-yard field goal by Matt Gay hit the left upright, giving possession back to the Lions.
The kick easily had the distance, but just couldn’t find its way through. Gay, the rookie kicker out of Utah, has seen his fair share of struggles this year, most notably back in Week 3 when he missed a chip shot field goal that would’ve beaten the New York Giants.

This game is getting more interesting than it should be. Matt Gay misses a 54 yard FG. Now, the #Lions have great field position down 7#Bucs

Matt Gay's missed FG attempt will give the #Lions a chance to tie it up. It will be on the #Bucs defense to hold on to the lead. #TBvsDET
