UFC light heavyweight champion [autotag]Jon Jones[/autotag] again found himself in trouble with the law Thursday when he was arrested in Albuquerque, N.M., on multiple charges including driving under the influence, negligent use of a firearm, possession of an open container and no proof of insurance.
It’s not uncommon to see Jones’ name in the headlines for an arrest. The reigning 205-pound champ, who is coming off a title defense against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 in February, has a long history of legal mishaps, and it remains to be see how the latest alleged incident is going to impact his fighting future.
Any time Jones gets in trouble, though, many within the MMA community use it as a chance to pounce on him. That was no different this time. Check out the Twitter reactions below.

See, there’s no need to panic. The world’s still perfectly normal. https://t.co/YuWyN0MukI

People will talk about what the UFC needs to do and how the UFC needs to respond, but it’s beyond ridiculous that the law has yet to adequately punish this guy. He’s clearly out of control and a danger to the public. https://t.co/LHdjIQeHor

don’t send him to jail he won’t learn his lesson, lock him in a cage with me instead. https://t.co/W1Gp6PrVR3

Obviously as a recovery/addiction advocate I sympathize with Jon here, but at the same time at one point or another its black and white… either learn from your mistakes and set a good example, especially with the size of the platform he has, or fuck it all up… https://t.co/nP9tHg5yCS

You could kind of feel this Jones thing brewing on his social media. He was clearly feeling super stir crazy. A lot of fighters are not people who can easily be contained in a quarantine kind of environment.

Per this report, after his arrest, Jon Jones was found to have a bottle of Recuerdo (Jorge Masvidal's mezcal) behind the passenger's seat of his car.
This is another troubling chapter in Jones's life and career and I hope that he is able to receive the help that he needs. https://t.co/wcItFLhOS0

I'm guessing the UFC will outright not even give a shit about this. So long as an AC is willing to licence him they will not bother taking any kind of stand. https://t.co/qgGBZr3jSa

This is the most talented fighter in the history of MMA. Imagine if other sports had to deal with their GOAT being such a mess. It's drives me nuts. https://t.co/rbftyvxHxu
