Twitter reacts to Devon Achane being selected No. 84 overall to the Miami Dolphins

Adding Devon Achane’s speed to the Miami Dolphins offense feels absolutely unfair, and Twitter reacted accordingly to what could be the steal of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Texas A&M‘s own Devon Achane is making the move from College Station to the Miami Dolphins, and after hearing his name called Friday night he’s already become an early contender for the “steal of the 2023 NFL Draft.”

After being selected with the 84th pick in the third round, Achane became the fifth running back selected behind Texas’ Bijan Robinson, Alabama’s Jahmyr Gibbs, UCLA’s Zach Charbonnet, and Tulane’s Tyjae Spears. However, what caught so many by surprise was the fact that he was available that far down in the first place.

Simply put: how did the NFL let this happen? As the fastest running back in this year’s class with a 4.32 40-yard dash to his name, Achane will join a Dolphins roster with an overabundance of speed in Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Raheem Mostert. That’s an absolutely scary sight for opposing defenses.

Fans of the Aggies, Dolphins, and football fans in general quickly took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Achane hearing his name called in the third round, with many emphatic in their belief that the partnership is a match made in heaven.
