The initial rosters for the 2021 Pro Bowl have been released and as is the case every season, there are plenty of snubs. That includes one of the best defensive tackles in the game in Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle DeForest Buckner.
While the voting process resulted with linebacker Darius Leonard, left guard Quenton Nelson and center Ryan Kelly making it, there were a few snubs for the Colts like Buckner, cornerback Kenny Moore and kicker Rodrigo Blankenship.
Among interior defenders Buckner is second in sacks (7.5), quarterback hits (24) and eight in total pressures (48).
But Buckner’s impact on the Colts defense has been immense, and it’s truly a shame he didn’t make it. Here’s how Twitter reacted to the news:
Pro Bowl voting is a joke. How does DeForest Buckner not make it in?

Deforest Buckner not being a pro bowler shows how flawed the system is

Meanwhile, DeForest Buckner among all interior defensive linemen in the NFL this year:
— 2nd in sacks (7.5)
— 2nd in QB hits (24)
— 2nd in total tackles (52)and didnt get in? smh

DeForest Buckner didn't get a Pro Bowl nod? That's a bad snub. All-Pro had better correct this. #Colts

That’s weird you forgot to tweet Deforest Buckner, almost like he got snubbed but that couldn’t be. https://t.co/vo4Llpo9x1

DeForest Buckner isn't a Pro Bowler? How the hell …

Honestly if I had to pick the three best Colts players this year, idk if these would be the three but I know Pro Bowl is a popularity contest.
Still DeForest Buckner not making it when he’s one of the top defensive players in the AFC is insane https://t.co/2uahkkaJWJ
