The Chargers knocked off the Raiders on Monday night, 28-14.
After trailing 21-0 at halftime, Las Vegas pulled within to make it a one-score game in the third quarter. That would be the last time they found the end zone after Los Angeles picked up steam on defense to stymie them the rest of the way out.
After the win, L.A. now sits atop the AFC West.
Here is a look at how the general population reacted following the primetime matchup:

The Chargers now have the #1 seed in the AFC.
If the playoffs were determined today, every team in the AFC West would make them…. except the Chiefs.

Chargers have forced a fourth-quarter turnover in each of their wins. That's the Staley effect.

Who’s in first place…oh yeah…that would be the @chargers ⚡️⚡️⚡️

You can tell the 2021 Chargers are better than the 2020 Chargers because the 2021 Chargers only sort of looked like they might blow this game but you just KNOW the 2020 Chargers absolutely would have blown this game.

I picked the Chargers and in today's story, listed why — run offense and run defense issues, penalties and bad 4th-down and red-zone defense. 5 for 5.
But … Raiders are still 3-1 and tied for first place.— Vic Tafur (@VicTafur) October 5, 2021
