The NFL announced rosters for the 2025 Pro Bowl on Thursday and three Denver Broncos players made the AFC squad. Eight other Broncos players were named alternates for the all-star game.
Denver’s biggest Pro Bowl snubs this season were defensive lineman Zach Allen and guard Quinn Meinerz. Here’s a sampling of how fans and pundits reacted to the Allen snub on Twitter/X.
Zach Allen Rankings Among NFL Defensive Linemen, per @NextGenStats:
QB Pressures: 1st (65)
Run Stuffs: 1st (20)
Run Stuff % (Min. 200 Run Def. Snaps): 1st (6.6%)
QB Pressure % (Min. 400 Pass Rush Snaps): 2nd (11.3)
Stop EPA: 3rd (-44.5)
Sacks: T-3rd (8.5)

Just hard for me to believe that there are SIX interior defensive lineman in the AFC who are more deserving of making the Pro Bowl than Zach Allen.
8.5 sacks and 39 QB hits seems Pro Bowl worthy to me…

Zach Allen is an All-Pro…but somehow he’s FOURTH alternate?? https://t.co/IARi2jwlD8

Just a blatant disrespect toward Zach Allen, who has been a top-5 defensive player in ALL of football this year. What a shame. https://t.co/hdOWibezFi

Obvious snub for the Broncos was Zach Allen. Leads all interior D-linemen with 65 pressures. His 20 run stops also pace that group, per Next Gen Stats. Game-wrecking engine of defense that leads the NFL in sacks. Even when double-teamed, he’s been a problem.

Which of these defensive guys did not make the Pro Bowl? If you guessed Zach Allen, you’re correct. He’s only 2nd in pressures and 1st in QBKDs. Madubuike has less than half the pressures and Heyward has only 24. This makes the Pro Bowl more of a joke than it already was pic.twitter.com/xqggpZI48u

Criminal behavior that Zach Allen didn’t make it but again, All Pro is worth a lot more than fan Pro Bowl voting https://t.co/hhGzNIckke

Someone on the other site asked me who Zach Allen should have kicked off the Pro Bowl roster and the answer is Nnamdi Madubuike, as good as he’s been the last couple years. Allen’s been amazing this year.

Congrats fellas but No Zach Allen is Crazy hopefully he gets all pro https://t.co/RIVKbfvIc4

No Quinn Meinerz or Zach Allen is an unbelievably common bad look for the Pro Bowl

Zach Allen being left off the Pro Bowl roster is an absolutely shame.
He’s not just having a Pro Bowl year, he’s having an All-Pro season pic.twitter.com/FRg7QqxIRY

#BroncosCountry I know it’s irritating that Zach Allen was snubbed for the Pro Bowl, but remember that the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest. That’s why Travis Kelce got so many votes.
If he’s snubbed for All Pro, THEN we can have a collective meltdown

Meinerz is also considered a big snub.
#Broncos biggest Pro Bowl snub was guard Quinn Meinerz. He led all AFC guards in the fan voting (fourth overall). He is the top AFC rated guard by Pro Football Focus (third overall). He’s a first alternate.

Not the easiest year to pick guards, but Quinn Meinerz (1st team All-Pro for me) not making it is pretty insane. Sam Cosmi (2nd team All-Pro for me) also not making it is nuts. https://t.co/GOlhCZ2m58

DL Zach Allen, LT Garett Bolles, RG Quinn Meinerz were Broncos top Pro Bowl snubs. https://t.co/KwYUHFjtyx

Zach Allen doesn’t have flashy stats he has ethical stats that’s why he didn’t make it
But Meinerz not making it is absolutely unreal

Meinerz and Allen are both alternates, so there’s a chance that they could be added to the Pro Bowl roster in the coming weeks. Meinerz has a better chance as a first alternate. Allen is only a fourth alternate for the Pro Bowl, but he has a strong case to receive an All-Pro nod this season.
