The Tennessee Titans kicked off their round of cuts on Tuesday following the releases of left tackle Taylor Lewan, wide receiver Robert Woods, and kicker Randy Bullock
These moves were universally expected by most people, but the news still caused quite a stir on Twitter.
Tennessee entered the day over the salary cap by more than $22 million. However, following these latest transactions, the Titans will save about $28.9 million and are now $4.2 million under the salary cap.
The release of Lewan saved the Titans $14.8 million and leaves behind no dead-cap hit because he had no guaranteed money left on the original deal that he signed back in 2018.
