Twitter debates whether Texas A&M football is ‘all bark, no bite’

Texas A&M football has no shortage of critics heading into a critical season, and one blog recently questioned whether the Aggies are “all bark and no bite.”

Texas A&M football has no shortage of critics heading into a pivotal 2023 season, and that truth extends to the farthest reaches of social media.

Sports analysts and media personalities have fired off hot takes left and right about the Aggies ever since their 2022 campaign drew to a close with a 5-7 record (2-6 SEC). To be fair, the noise has been especially prevalent over the last two seasons as Jimbo Fisher has accumulated a 13-11 record within that timespan.

Suffice it to say that A&M’s struggles to make a big postseason run have only been heightened by the amount of talent on the roster. As a result, it’s only offered more ammunition for cynics and trolls to take shots at the Aggies. And when it comes to that latter word of “trolls,” there’s no better example than the blog Walk-On Redshirts.

Their Twitter account, which to their credit is transparent in their goal of provoking a college football team’s fanbase, fired off a question that is sure to ruffle some feathers of the 12th Man:

Much like this year’s Texas A&M football team, the responses and prompt will only serve as more fuel and bulletin board material ahead of a confident bounce-back season in Aggieland. Still, taking a gander at a handful of delusional responses and debunk them on the spot is always fun.

Here are a few of the best responses debating whether Texas A&M is “all bark and no bite.” Better yet, a handful of Lone Star State teams ended up catching a few strays here and there!
