Twitch, PlayStation Network (PSN), and various other online services are down right now. Some service operators have already publicly acknowledged the issue and stated that they are hard at work trying to fix it.
Given which sites and services are down, the issue appears to be related to AWS (Amazon Web Services), which is a subsidiary of Amazon proper. A huge amount of different apps use AWS to facilitate their cloud services, which is why the group of affected sites and apps might seem a little arbitrary at first.
At the time of writing, Downdetector is being flooded with reports of issues with Twitch, PSN, and EA, all of which use AWS.
Multiple other major apps have reportedly been affected, too, including popular games like League of Legends, Valorant, Call of Duty, and Apex Legends. Streaming giant Netflix is also down.
Twitch has already responded to the issue on Twitter.
🔎 We are aware of several issues affecting Twitch services.
Our team is aware and hard at work fixing them – we'll continue to update you, here.

“We are aware of several issues affecting Twitch services,” the tweet reads. “Our team is aware and hard at work fixing them – we’ll continue to update you, here.”
The official AWS service health dashboard now lists the issue as having been resolved as of 8:10 a.m. PST, although Downdetector is still flooded with reports at the time of writing. All affected sites will presumably be back up and running soon.
