TV, kickoff time set for Georgia at Alabama game

No. 1 Georgia and No. 4 Alabama will play against each other at night on Sept. 28

The Georgia Bulldogs at Alabama Crimson Tide game will be televised on ABC. Georgia (3-0) enters Week 4 as the No. 1 team in the US LBM Coaches Poll and the No. 2 team in the AP Poll. Alabama (3-0) is the No. 4 team in the country in both polls.

Both Georgia and Alabama have byes this week ahead of their Sept. 28 clash in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Georgia-Alabama game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Georgia enters the Alabama games as slight favorites. The Bulldogs have won 42 straight regular season games dating to 2020. However, Georgia has lost five of its six meetings against Alabama during the Kirby Smart era.

First-year Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer presents a different challenge than former Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban. Alabama is running on all cylinders after picking up a 42-10 win at Wisconsin last week.

Georgia enters the Alabama game with several other notable streaks on the line. Georgia has won 16 straight road games and 28 consecutive SEC games. ESPN’s matchup predictor gives Alabama a 67% chance to defeat Georgia.

Georgia will have to play better against Alabama than it did last week at Kentucky. The Bulldogs were not impressive in their 13-12 road win at Kentucky and showed several weaknesses.
