The Georgia Bulldogs at Alabama Crimson Tide game will be televised on ABC and will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 28. Georgia (3-0) enters Week 5 as the No. 1 team in the US LBM Coaches Poll and the No. 2 team in the AP Poll. Alabama (3-0) is the No. 4 team in the country in both polls.
ESPN’s “College GameDay” will be in town for the Georgia at Alabama game. One of ESPN’s top GameDay personalities, Kirk Herbstreit will serve as the analyst for the Georgia-Alabama game. Chris Fowler will handle play-by-play and Holly Rowe will be the sideline reporter.
Both Georgia and Alabama are coming off bye weeks ahead of their clash in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Georgia enters the Alabama games as slight favorites. The Bulldogs are the first road team to be favored at Alabama since 2007.
Georgia gone 49-2 over their last 51 games. However, both of Georgia’s losses during this time period came against Alabama. The Crimson Tide most recently beat Georgia 27-24 in the 2023 SEC championship game.
“It’s going to be a really tough environment on the road,” said Georgia coach Kirby Smart. Smart has only played at Alabama once during his career (Georgia’s 41-24 loss in 2020).
“They’ve (Alabama) got a tremendous team,” continued Smart. “I have nothing but respect for Kalen DeBoer and what he’s done with that team and that staff. I think he’s done a great job of putting them in a position to grow and get better, and they’ve gotten better with each game.”
Georgia has not won at Alabama since 2007. The Bulldogs have lost eight of their last nine games against Alabama.
