Only one Nottingham Forest player was shown a yellow card in the club’s 3-1 win over Fulham on Tuesday, and he didn’t even play.
Matt Turner, the erstwhile Forest starter who now occupies a seat on the bench each week, was shown a second-half yellow card for dissent as his side picked up a massive three points in the fight against relegation.
Midway through the second half, the U.S. men’s national team starter jumped off the bench and appeared to take issue with one of referee Michael Oliver’s decisions.
After Oliver showed him a yellow card, Turner played up his heel routine by pumping up the home fans with a wave of his arms.
Although Turner didn’t see the field, two of his USMNT teammates did. Fulham left back Antonee Robinson played the full match, while Gio Reyna came on for Forest in the 77th minute.
