Tua Tagovailoa has had multiple concussions in his NFL career, and at least one Hall of Famer says it’s time to consider retiring after the QB’s latest head injury from Thursday night’s Miami Dolphins loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Former star tight end Tony Gonzalez spoke on Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football postgame show and had this to say (via the Palm Beach Post): “I’m thinking retirement. … This is something that can affect you long term. For me, it’s time to move on.”
Ryan Fitzpatrick wondered the same thing, saying Tagovailoa should “seriously” consider retirement.
And there were others on Twitter saying the same thing:
That’s it….
NFL go ahead and do the right thing
Tua has had entirely way too many concussions
He need to retire for his longevity health concerns
