The Iowa Hawkeyes are likely in the market for a wide receiver via the transfer portal and one name has recently just hit the portal that they are all too familiar with, and not necessarily for good reason.
Devonte Ross, the wide receiver from Troy, has entered his name into the transfer portal, per On3 Sports, and could be a player to watch for the Hawkeyes as they saw him up close and personal this season in Week 3.

In the matchup against the Hawkeyes, Devonte Ross was the best wide receiver on the field for either team.
He posted five receptions for 142 yards with two touchdowns. Ross also returned a punt for a touchdown against Iowa to cap off a three-touchdown performance in Kinnick Stadium.

Ross had a breakout year for the Troy Trojans in 2024. He reeled in 76 receptions for 1,043 yards and 11 touchdowns on his way to being an All-Sun Belt First-Team selection.
At 5-foot-11 and 161 pounds, Ross is not the big-bodied wide receiver, but he is a burner who could provide Iowa with a downfield threat in the passing game and a plug-and-play returner to replace Kaden Wetjen in the punt and kick return game.
