A trio of Oregon Ducks earned some impressive honors on Monday morning, with All-American awards being handed out.
The offensive trio of Bo Nix, Jackson Powers-Johnson, and Troy Franklin earned Associated Press honors, with Powers-Johnson being named to the first team, Franklin being named to the second team, and Nix being named to the third team.
Powers-Johnson, the Rimington Trophy winner, is the 11th consensus All-American in UO history and has a chance to become the fifth unanimous selection.
Franklin was also named a second-team all-American by the FWAA earlier on Monday. Nix earned third-team honors from the AP while still in New York after being a Heisman Trophy finalist and being recognized for winning the prestigious William V. Campbell Trophy as the nation’s top scholar-athlete.
