Trojans Wired women’s basketball report: USC tries to nail down NCAA bid

#USC tries to move closer to an NCAA Tournament bid this weekend vs the Oregon schools. @IanHest produced our latest podcast.

The USC women’s basketball team is getting closer to an NCAA Tournament bid, but the team hasn’t sealed the deal just yet.

If you have been following our women’s basketball coverage, you probably know the Trojans are currently a projected No. 8 seed for the NCAA Tournament. In the second week of February, that’s not a lock. We have been telling you over the past few days that the Trojans need at least two more wins and probably need three to feel comfortable about playing in March Madness.

The Oregon schools come to Los Angeles this weekend, with USC hosting the Oregon Ducks on Friday night and then hosting the Oregon State Beavers on Sunday afternoon. We have been talking with Ducks Wire about the USC-Oregon game on Friday. Follow all our coverage in tandem with Ducks Wire analyst Donald Smalley.

In addition to our collaboration with Ducks Wire, however, we obviously wanted to discuss this week in USC women’s basketball on our new podcast. Ian Hest produced the show.

Make Trojans Wire your home for USC women’s basketball coverage, including and especially on the Trojans Wired podcast. You’re not going to get women’s hoops podcasts from a lot of other USC sports outlets.
